You like the new header above? As you can see, we've done quite a bit of travels before Baby Bel arrived. We hope to bring her around and do a lot more travelling when she's older a little. So far the little jet setter has been to Singapore and Melbourne. Next stop in the itinerary... Belgium

Chor Chor and Kana

For the non hokkien speakers... that's Great Grandma and Great Grand-daughter. Great Grandma prefers to call Baby Bel, Kana. I guess it's a lot easier to say. Since Baby Bel is the younger one, she's called "sway liap kana," meaning the smaller great grandchild. And Jenna, is the "tua liap kana."



That's the 2 of them enjoying the huge flat screen TV in Great Grandma's room looking like they're having a time of their life!


She loves letting Baby Bel crawl on her bed and laughs at all her antics. It's funny to see how relaxed Great Grandma is about her Kana, even letting Baby Bel pull out all the tissue paper from the box to play with it. I'm sure if it was me, I would have been spanked!


Great Grandma has just finished helping Baby Bel get dressed up for us to go out. According to her, hyper Baby Bel becomes very still and quiet the minute her pink shoes are brought out.

Knock head, knock head

That was a favourite game played between Ee-ee and Baby Bel. Where Ee-ee would say,"Belle Belle, knock head, knock head." After a couple of times, Baby Bel would catch on to the game. Then whenever Ee-ee would say that, Baby Bel would bring her head closer to Ee-ee's head and their heads would touch. It's amazing how fast she learns and it's so cute to watch!

Mirror Mirror on the Wall

When Baby Bel was younger, Kev used to swing her in front of the mirror. Now, every time I get her from her cot, I'll bring Baby Bel to the mirror at our hallway to say hello to her reflection. She loves laughing and touching her own reflection. But I think she knows that it's a reflection as she never touches my reflection, instead she'll turn and look at me. I've since put a little "sun" on her play mat that has a mirror on the opposite side. Watch how she reaches to and talks to the pretty baby there.

I want more Vitamin D!

We were told to give daily doses of vitamin D to Baby Bel, to help maintain proper levels of calcium and phosphorus to help build her bones & teeth. So, we all know the scientific reason for feeding her this.




But what we're continually amused about is the pleasure that she takes in swallowing every drop of her daily dose of vitamin D. Check out how happy she is here, and how she asks for more!

1 o'clock, 2 o'clock, 3 o'clock rock

This photo was taken quite late at night... or was it early in the morning ??... when Baby Bel was gearing up for her beauty sleep. We couldn't get the flash to give us a nice photo, so we had to use an electric torchlight.

Be ma, be ma, be ma baby

Baby bel's mother took this shot of her in her new autumn look. Don't you just LOVE the pink flowers on yellow? And also notice her fashionable bracelet. Ain't she cute?

In fact, it's a hospital tag on her wrist - that's to make sure that we didn't go back with someone else's daughter. The Amercian hospital has a fail-safe system, as they tag both the wrist and the ankle of the baby once he or she is born.

Don't you feel like singing the song "Be ma, be ma, be ma baby".... ?

But hey, don't sing too loud and for too long, or else Baby Bel may just want you to shut up! After all, she's read in the "babypolitain" magazines that all princesses need their daily dose of beauty sleep!
